Welding Fabric Shelters

Welding air supported fabric buildings or covers for steel-frame structures is a snap with Leister's line of hot air welders. Automatic tools get the big jobs done fast. Their tried-and-true hand tools are perfect for small projects and repairs.

Done correctly, heat welding provides a bond that is as strong as the original material; secure enough for outdoor or high-strain installations, welds are clean and accurate enough to join even complex patterned material.

Choosing an Industrial Fabrics Joining Method: Gluing, Sewing, or Welding
There are several different joining methods for industrial fabrics including gluing, sewing, chemical welding, and heat welding. The type of project, where it will be used, and the desired lifespan of the final product all affect the choice of method.

Why Your Hot Air Tool Needs Airflow
Inside every Leister hot air tool is a heating element composed of a ceramic honeycomb supported resistance wire filament (See below). Electric resistance wire heaters work on the principle that when electrical current passes through a conductor heat is generated, and the amount of heat generated is related to the resistance of the conductor.
