The FUSION is not producing the correct heat

• Confirm that the correct element has been installed.  The elements for the FUSION 2 and 3C are not the same as the element for the FUSION 3.
• Check that the air intake filter (located on the housing in front of the extrusion trigger) is clean. A plugged filter will reduce air flow and heat transfer and could cause the element to burn out. Remove any blockage in the filter with a soft brush.

FUSION 1:

• Do not operate the tool without supplied filters

FUSION 2 & 3C:

• As recommended by Leister: weld at maximum speed. If this is too fast, then Leister recommends using 3mm instead of 4mm welding rod. This lowers the output. Maximum speed is not only better for cooling the gearbox, but also for the lifespan of the drive motor and the gearbox.
• Do not operate the Extruder without the stainless steel filter as it is designed to protect element & motor from contamination.
