The Buckleys Wet Roof Pro2 leak detector kit is designed to identify and pinpoint leaks in flat roofs. It can be used on any non-conductive roof surface, including hot-melt, asphalt, and single-ply roofing membranes, provided both the roof surface and underlying structure are sufficiently wet. The Wet Roof Pro2 also features a Wet Sponge mode, making it easy to test upstands and other vertical surfaces. The system works by generating an electrical current through the water on the roof surface. Where a leak is present, water passes through the roof membrane and makes contact with earthed areas of the structure, completing the electrical circuit. Using two test probes, the detector unit measures the strength and direction of the current flow to earth, allowing the user to accurately locate the source of the leak.
