Wiring your Machine
Below you'll find the wiring instructions for many of our automatic tools, if you do not see your tool listed or have questions please feel free to contact us at 1-888-438-6324 or via email at info@stanmech.com.
For all machines: Screw down the wire contacts on to the bare electrical wire only and do
not clamp down on the insulation of the wire. Bad contacts cause
sparking which may cause the cord to heat up and may damage equipment.

Please consider the following when connecting a new plug to your ASTRO:
- Specifications of the plug: 15 Amp; 250 Volt; 2 pole; 3 wire; grounding; twist-lock
- When using a generator make sure the plug is wired for A/C
Connecting a twist-lock plug:
- Connect the green wire to the pin with the bent tab
- Connect the white wire to one of the pins directly left or right of the bent tab
- Connect the black wire to the other pin directly left or right of the bent tab
Please consider the following when making an extension cord for your ASTRO:
- Use a 12 Gauge or thicker cable if you plan to make a 100 ft or longer extension cord
Generator Instructions:
- Starting procedure:
- Switch on the generator
- Switch on the ASTRO
- Shut-down procedure:
- Switch off the ASTRO
- Switch off the generator

BITUMAT
Please consider the following when connecting a new plug to your BITUMAT:
- You must use 30 Amp or higher twist-lock plug
- The BITUMAT is single phase
- When using a generator make sure the plug is wired for A/C
Connecting a twist-lock plug:
- Connect the green wire to the pin with the bent tab
- Connect the white wire to one of the pins directly left or right of the bent tab
- Connect the black wire to the other pin directly left or right of the bent tab
- If using a 4 prong plug, leave the red wire and the pin opposite the one with the bent tab disconnected

- Use a 10 Gauge or thicker cable if you plan to make a 100 ft or longer extension cord
- If you wish to use a 4 wire cable, leave the red wire and the pin opposite the one with the bent tab disconnected

FUSION Wiring Instructions
Connecting a twist-lock plug to your FUSION:
- Specifications of the plug: 20 Amp; 250 Volt; 2 pole; 2 wire; non-grounding; twist-lock
- Connect one wire to either one of the plug pins
- Connect the other wire to the other pin
Please consider the following when making an extension cord for your FUSION:
- Use a 10 Gauge or thicker cable if you plan to make a 100 ft or longer extension cord
Generator Instructions:
- Starting procedure:
- Switch on the generator
- Switch on the FUSION
- Shut-down procedure:
- Switch off the FUSION
- Switch off the generator

UNIFLOOR Wiring Instructions
Plug specifications: 125V; 15A; 2-pole; grounded; male
Connecting a plug:
- Connect the green wire to the ground pin
- Connect the white wire to either remaining pin
- Connect the black wire to the last pin

WELDMAX Wiring Instructions
Connecting a 120 V plug to your WELDMAX:
- You must use a 15 Amp or higher plug
- Connect the white wire to the silver connector
- Connect the black wire to the bronze connector
- Do not connect any wires to the ground pin of the plug

WELDPLAST Wiring Instructions
Connecting a plug to your WELDPLAST:
- Specifications of the plug:
- For WELDPLAST S2, S2 PVC, S4: 20 Amp or higher; 250 Volt; 2 pole; 3 wire; grounding; twist-lock
- For WELDPLAST S6: 30 Amp or higher; 250 Volt; 2 pole; 3 wire; grounding; twist-lock
- Connect the green wire to the pin with the bent tab
- Connect the white wire to one of the pins directly left or right of the bent tab
- Connect the black wire to the other pin directly left or right of the bent tab
- If using a 4 prong plug, leave the red wire and the pin opposite the one with the bent tab disconnected
