2011: Look what's in store

This has been an exciting year at STANMECH Technologies Inc. We saw the addition of three new employees, Anne-Marie Harte as the new General Manager, Muzen Zurar as the new Applications Engineer, and myself, Sarah Fenwick, as the new Marketing & Communications Coordinator.

We added several new Leister tools such as the VARIMAT V2 – the fastest automatic roofing machine currently available.

We completely redesigned both our websites – www.stanmech.com & www.leister.ca – in record time thanks to Robert Fullerton from Datascapes.

We played host to the world recognized SKZ training course which allowed several participants from around the world to earn their DVS Welding Certification.

It has certainly been a non-stop flurry of activity in at our main location in Burlington, Ontario which houses not only our main offices but also our repair centre, applications laboratory, training centre, and warehouse.

We’ll be taking a much needed break over the holidays to regroup, relax, and spend time with our families. Our offices will be closed starting December 25th, 2010 for the remainder of the year. We’ll reopen January 3rd, 2011 to greet the New Year. We’d like to wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year.

We have several exciting things planned for the upcoming year so be sure to check our websites regularly for updates or sign up for our mailing list to be sure you’re included in our announcements.

SKZ Welding School

Through the last week of September 2010 STANMECH Technologies Inc. had the pleasure and honour of hosting a worldwide SKZ Training Course on behalf of Leister Process Technologies.

Participants came from countries around the world including Japan, Mexico, and the United States for the course. Rudi Schott, the instructor for the course, came from Germany for the occasion.

Participants (as seen on the left) were taught both the technical information needed to be a successful plastic welder and the technical skills needed to make high-quality, durable welds using a variety of tools including Leister TRIAC hot air hand tools and Leister WELDPLAST and FUSION extrusion welders.

The training course offered participants the chance to earn their DVS welding certification; DVS – the German Welding Society – is recognized around the world as one of the leaders in plastic welding certification. Congratulations to all participants who completed the course.
