- Activation: use heated air or IR heaters to activate adhesives
- Cleaning: use heated or high velocity air to remove water, debris, or other contaminants
- Deflashing: use heated air or IR heaters to remove flash from plastic parts or fix irregularities in plastic after moulding
- Drying: use heated air or IR heaters to heat and dry glue, paint, etc.
- Heating: use heated air to seal plastics after cutting or expand areas to fit bearings
- Shrinking: use heated air or IR heaters to shrink tubes to seal wires
- Soldering & Desoldering: use heated air to aid in soldering & desoldering of surface mounted and thru-hole devices
